Anthurium — Ivory Lime

This artificial anthurium comes in Ivory Lime. The flower face is ivory, with lime green concentrated along the lower edges and the fold beneath the centre. Its long central spike measures approximately 9 cm and changes from cream at the base to bright yellow towards the tip. Raised veins curve across the broad heart shaped bloom, with a glossy surface and lower edges that fold forwards above a slender green stem.

The flower head feels supple and holds an upright shape above the stem. For a single stem, choose a vase with a narrow opening and leave some green stem above the rim. Turn the flower face towards the room so its curled edges and long central spike can be seen together.

When grouping several stems, vary their height and the direction each flower faces. In a mixed arrangement, place the anthuriums above the surrounding flowers so their broad faces do not overlap.

Design notes

Warm white ceramic continues the ivory of the flower face. For more contrast, use a charcoal vase beneath the pale bloom and green stem. Clear glass shows the stem below the flower head.

Pair Ivory Lime with cream flowers and pale green foliage. A few yellow flowers draw out the colour of the central spike, while deep green leaves provide a darker background behind the ivory face.

Group Green Trick around the base of the anthurium to repeat the lime in its lower edges. Place the compact cupped blooms of Pearl White roses between the green heads. A Bridal White Phalaenopsis orchid stem can curve out to one side, with its flowers spaced beyond the anthurium.
