Clivia — Heritage Red

Grounded in heritage red, with a dry petal finish that reads vintage rather than loud.

This artificial clivia is built as one stem with five blooms, three fully open and two held back in bud, so the cluster feels lived in and intentional. The open flowers flare wide with softly softened edges and a time worn, almost papered texture across the petal faces. Colour sits in the deep end of heritage red, closer to mulled wine and oxblood, with shadowed depth in the folds and a warmer lift on the outer planes. Fine crimson filaments sit forward inside each throat, adding a clean line of detail without turning fussy. Below the bloom head, the sheath and small bracts shift into olive green and warm tawny tones, linking the aged reds back into the stem so the transition looks natural. Shown alone, it feels modern and composed, a small statement for entry consoles, bedside tables, and corners that still deserve a focal point. Grouped in threes or fives, the uneven mix of open blooms and buds turns richer and more atmospheric, ideal for a tall hall vase, a dining table centre, or a pair of matching vessels flanking a doorway. Design notes
Seat the stem in a tall bottle green glass cylinder to deepen the reds and keep the line crisp, in chalk white stoneware to sharpen the contrast and show the petal texture, or in a dark bronze metal vase for an evening, gallery leaning mood. With cream, oat and warm taupe the bloom reads calm and tailored, with merlot, cacao and dried rust it becomes tonal and antique, against ink black, eucalyptus and cool stone it lands in clean contrast. Pair with a rose to add a familiar classic note, add hydrangea to widen the base and soften the silhouette, or introduce phalaenopsis orchid to lift the arrangement with a refined vertical accent.
