Spiral Pod Branch — Bud Green

This artificial spiral pod branch comes in Bud Green. Long curled blades twist along branching stems, with raised ribbing across each surface. The curved forms create a stronger directional line than flat foliage and carry a natural irregularity into the surrounding space from several angles.

For a single stem, use a medium vase with a narrow opening and keep the lowest curled blade about 10 cm above the rim. Shape the main stem into an uneven curve that changes direction at least twice, then turn the side branches separately so the spiral forms travel across the display.

When using several stems, vary their height and angle the branches through the centre and sides to form a fuller canopy, similar to a small tree with a loose and unconventional shape. In a mixed arrangement, place the spiral pod branches towards the sides as line foliage to extend the width and add volume.

Design notes

Smoked graphite glass provides a darker reflective base for Bud Green. Kiln fired stoneware adds a matte earthy surface, while brushed brass brings out the warmer green tones.

Pair Bud Green with chalk white, linen or pale ash. Sage, olive and eucalyptus continue the green range. Cobalt, deep plum and ink graphite provide stronger contrast.

Gloriosa lilies add curved petals beside the twisted blades. Roses introduce broader rounded blooms through the focal area. Gerberas add open round flower heads, while poppies bring lighter papery flowers between the branches.
