Poetic Phalaenopsis Orchid (Eight Blooms) — Amber Blush

This artificial Phalaenopsis orchid carries eight open blooms in Amber Blush. It has a mellow amber yellow gently kissed with petal pink at the throat. Rounded orchid flowers follow the upper stem, with smaller buds continuing towards the tip. A wire inside the stem allows it to be shaped upright or curved downwards, depending on the line needed for the arrangement.

For a single stem, use a tall slim vase with a narrow opening. Shape the stem into a long curve and turn the open flowers towards the main viewing side. The 96 cm length also allows the orchid to extend above a taller vessel or fall towards one side.

When using several stems, vary their height and curve them in different directions so the flower faces do not sit in one flat row. Leave space between the stems to keep the individual blooms visible. In a mixed arrangement, place the orchids through the upper section or towards the back and allow the curved stems to extend beyond the broader flower heads.

Design notes

A slender clear glass vase shows the long stem and keeps the arrangement visually open. Charcoal stoneware provides a dark matte base, while a brushed metal footed urn suits a taller occasion arrangement.

Pair Amber Blush with ivory, sand or oat. Coral, melon and peach continue the warm colour range. Teal, olive and smoky plum provide stronger contrast.

Gladiolus adds another tall line beside the orchid. Roses introduce broader layered blooms through the lower section. Cymbidium orchids add smaller cupped flowers, while stock flowers fill spaces between the larger forms.
