Stock Flower — Shell Pink

This artificial stock flower comes in Shell Pink. Clusters of small open blooms rise along an upright stem, with grey green leaves near the base and between the flower heads. The stem is made up of many smaller flowers, with soft natural looking petals, small buds that show different stages of opening, and lightly textured leaves with a faint downy finish.

For a single stem, use a mini bud vase and keep the lowest flower cluster just above the rim. Position the stem upright or angle it slightly to one side for a clean vertical line. The branches can also be bent slightly by hand to open the flower cluster further.

When using several stems, stagger their height and turn them in different directions to build a fuller column of colour. In a mixed arrangement, place the stock flowers through the front or front middle section. The smaller clustered blooms can repeat Shell Pink through the design, lift the line and add detail between broader flower heads.

Design notes

Clear blush glass keeps Shell Pink light and shows the upright stem. Chalk stoneware provides a pale matte base, while brushed brass adds warmth beneath the pink flowers.

Pair Shell Pink with almond, ecru or warm taupe. Peach, apricot and rose quartz continue the pink colour range. Sage, slate teal and charcoal provide stronger contrast.

Roses add broader layered blooms around the stock flowers. Hydrangea brings a fuller base through the lower section. Iris continues the upright direction, while Phalaenopsis orchids introduce wider open flowers between the smaller clusters.
