This artificial Vanda orchid comes in Tonal Purple. Broad blooms sit at staggered points along a straight leafless stem, with smaller flowers near the tip and larger flowers lower down. The petals range from lilac to deeper purple, with fine speckles across the flower faces. A raised lip projects from the centre of each bloom.
Pair Tonal Purple with the Smoky Violet Vanda orchid to bring lighter lilac and deeper smoky purple into the same arrangement.
Use one stem in a narrow vase to show the full line of flowers. In a mixed arrangement, use it as a focal flower and leave space around the staggered blooms.

Design notes
An obsidian glass cylinder places the purple flowers against a glossy black surface. A matte charcoal ceramic vase continues the darker tones. A pale concrete vessel provides a lighter background for the speckled blooms.
For a neutral palette, pair Tonal Purple with dove grey, cool linen or graphite. Lilac, mauve and periwinkle continue the purple colour range. Chartreuse, citron and deep bottle green provide stronger contrast.
Roses introduce fuller rounded blooms. Phalaenopsis orchids repeat the open orchid form with a looser flower line. Hydrangea fills the lower part of the arrangement, while sunflowers introduce a broad round flower head.
