Trailing Arc Phalaenopsis Orchid (Nine Blooms) — Ivory Violet

This trailing artificial Phalaenopsis orchid comes in Ivory Violet and carries nine blooms along a curved stem. Each flower has an ivory base, fine violet veining and a butter yellow tint on the two lower petals. The flower faces turn at different points along the curve, with small buds near the tip.

The semi soft inner structure allows the stem to follow a natural arch and hold its position. Shape only the bare section of the main stem below the flowers, rather than the section carrying the blooms. Bend this lower section near the point where it enters the vase to create a looser fall or a wider spread.

A single stem can fall over the rim of a tall vase or sit in a simple Zen style vessel. Two or three stems create a fuller trailing arrangement for console displays, mirror styling or dining tables. Five or more stems suit larger arrangements.

Design notes

Smoked graphite glass places the ivory and violet against a cooler, darker background. Matte alabaster porcelain continues the pale ivory palette. A dark oil rubbed metal vessel provides a deeper contrast beside the flowers.

For a neutral palette, combine Ivory Violet with chalk, parchment or light ash. Powder lilac, dusk mauve and rose pink continue the violet and pink colour range. Moss green, deep teal and graphite provide a stronger contrast.

Gladiolus extends the arrangement upward. Stock flower builds volume around the orchid. Roses introduce rounded flower heads, while gloriosa lily brings a more open curved form.
