English Rosette-Style Rose with Bud — Cerise Pink

This artificial rose comes in Cerise Pink, which is a saturated pink with a cool undertone. It opens into a broad English rosette, with wider petals around the outside and smaller petals clustered more tightly near the centre. A small bud sits beside the main bloom, placing an earlier stage of flowering next to the open rosette.

For a single stem, use a narrow neck vase and turn the main bloom outward. Let the bud rise above one side of the flower rather than sitting directly behind it. The change from the compact bud to the open rosette gives the strong pink colour more than one shape on the same stem.

When using several stems, spread the main flowers across different heights and directions. Avoid placing every bloom face forward. Let some flowers overlap at the edges, then use the buds to carry the arrangement upwards and around the outside. This keeps the cerise colour moving through the arrangement rather than collecting in one solid block.

Design notes

A hand thrown stoneware vase gives Cerise Pink a matte ceramic base. A satin brass pedestal vase places the cool pink beside warm metal. An opal glass cylinder gives the colour a lighter translucent background.

Pair Cerise Pink with porcelain white, fog grey or warm sand. Rose, raspberry and mulberry continue the pink and red range. Chartreuse, saffron and ink navy introduce stronger colour differences.

Classic roses can sit between the rosette blooms to build a denser rounded form. Hydrangea can support the arrangement lower down and separate the larger flower heads from the vase. Cymbidium orchids introduce smaller cupped flowers, while tulips can rise through the roses and add a straighter line.
