Not every blue keeps its distance. Here, the cooler tones are placed beside mist white petals and rosewater ivory, so the whole palette feels warmer and more settled. The phalaenopsis orchid brings broad curved petals through the front, blue roses hold the centre, delphinium lifts the upper line, and poppy sprays break the outline with smaller notes of movement. The result is blue with softness in it, sweet without turning sugary, calm without losing shape.

Haze Blue sits at the cooler end of the palette, with a silvered cast through the orchid petals. Skylight Blue gives the arrangement its fuller body through the roses.
