Anthurium — Grey Green

This artificial anthurium comes in Grey Green, a muted green with a grey undertone. Its broad heart shape narrows to a point, with raised veins curving out from the base of a textured central spike. Light picks out the ridges above the deeper folds. The slender green stem has no leaves. The flower head is soft and returns to its original shape after a light press or squeeze.

For a single stem, choose a vase with a narrow opening and leave some of the green stem above the rim. The stem can be bent and shaped to adjust the position of the bloom. Curve it to one side and turn the flower face towards the room.

When grouping several stems, vary the curves and heights so the flower heads sit apart. In a mixed arrangement, position the anthurium just above a fuller base of flowers, with its face clear of surrounding petals.

Design notes

Choose ceramic in off white for a lighter base, or smoke grey glass to repeat the grey tones in the bloom.

Pair Grey Green with ivory, stone or pale grey. Sage continues the green tones, while burgundy provides a deeper red contrast.

Fresh Mint Leucospermum introduces a lighter green and a compact textured crown beneath the anthurium. Rodriguezia lanceolata in Olive Green adds smaller flowers along branching stems. Hunter Green Steel Grass can extend above the blooms in longer dark lines.
