Clivia — Heritage Red

This artificial clivia stem carries five blooms, with three open flowers and two buds. The position of each bloom can be adjusted by moving the individual pedicels, allowing the flower head to open into a looser arrangement or sit in a more compact rounded form.

The trumpet shaped blooms gather near the top of the stem. Broad cupped petals have a dry, papery surface. The colour is a deep heritage red, close to mulled wine and oxblood, with darker red through the folds and warmer tones across the outer petals. Curved crimson stamens are visible at the centre of each throat. Below the flower head, the stem comes in olive green.

Use one stem for a simple upright arrangement, or group all five stems for a fuller display.

Design notes

A tall bottle green glass cylinder places the deep red beside a darker green surface while keeping the upright stem visible. Chalk white stoneware gives the petals a pale matte background. Dark bronze metal adds a deeper material beside the red blooms.

For a neutral palette, combine Heritage Red with cream, oat or warm taupe. Merlot, cacao and dried rust continue the deep red and brown colour range. Ink black, eucalyptus green and cool stone provide a stronger contrast.

Roses add rounded flower shapes beside the clivia. Hydrangea adds volume around the base. Phalaenopsis orchids introduce more open blooms and a longer upward line.
