Horizon Hydrangea (Two Stems) — Antique Green Plum

A curated pack of two large Hydrangea stems in Antique Green Plum. 

This artificial hydrangea comes in Antique Green Plum. The florets combine moss, sage and olive with muted mauve. The very large rounded flower head is formed from many small florets. Broad veined leaves sit close beneath the flower head.

For a single stem, use a medium round vase and keep the flower head just above the rim. The 28 cm dome becomes the main focus of the display, while its rounded shape echoes the vase.

In a mixed arrangement, place the hydrangea through the lower or middle section to increase volume beneath taller flowers. For a larger arrangement, use five or more stems and place transitional flowers between the hydrangea heads and the taller line flowers. Leave space around each dome so the heads do not merge into one mass, then use the taller stems to carry the eye through the arrangement.

Design notes:

A smoked graphite glass vase around 30 to 40 cm high places the green and mauve florets against a dark surface. Chalk porcelain provides a pale matte base. A brushed brass vessel brings warm metal beside the olive and plum tones.

Pair Antique Green Plum with stone, linen or warm taupe. Olive, sage and dusty mauve continue the colours within the flower head. Indigo, oxblood and charcoal provide stronger contrast.

Place roses around the lower section to repeat the rounded flower forms. Phalaenopsis orchids can extend above or towards the sides with flatter open flowers. Lycoris introduces fine red lines through the upper edge of the arrangement.
