Lepidium Seed Spray — Olive Chartreuse

This artificial Lepidium seed spray comes in Olive Chartreuse. Small seed clusters sit along fine branching stems, carrying green through the full length of the spray.

For a single stem, shape the main stem into a slight curve. Turn some branches forward and direct others towards the sides so the spray has detail from several viewing angles. Use the curved line to bring colour into the part of the space you want to highlight.

For a mixed arrangement, place the stem between fuller blooms and let the upper branches extend beyond the flower heads.

When using several sprays on their own, distribute the branches through the centre and sides to increase volume and create the appearance of a small plant.

Design notes:

A tall clear glass cylinder around 45 to 60 cm high shows the long branching stems and leaves space around the seed clusters. A matte porcelain vase around 30 to 40 cm high places more of the spray above the rim.

Pair Olive Chartreuse with stone grey, linen beige or pale oak. Sage, eucalyptus and olive continue the green range. Ink navy, deep claret red and charcoal grey provide stronger contrast.

Place roses lower in the arrangement to introduce broader layered blooms. Phalaenopsis orchids bring open flowers between the fine branches. Lilies add trumpet shaped blooms, gerberas introduce round flower heads and tulips bring closed cupped forms.
