Oncidium Orchid — Clementine Aura

This artificial Oncidium orchid comes in Clementine Aura. Small butterfly shaped flowers sit along fine branching stems, with closed buds at several tips. The blooms carry a warm clementine orange tone. The open branching structure adds height without forming a dense flower mass.

For a single stem, use a tall slim vase with a narrow opening and keep the lowest flowers above the rim. Bend the main stem into a soft curve towards one side so the line travels from left to right instead of rising straight up.

When using several stems on their own, vary their height and direction to create a light branching display. In a mixed arrangement, place the Oncidium through the upper section or towards the back. Allow the upper flowers to extend beyond the broader flower heads, leaving space between the branches to avoid crowding the blooms.

Design notes:

A clear glass vase around 35 to 50 cm high shows the branching stems. Hand glazed ceramic around 28 to 35 cm high provides a warmer base, while a slim bronze vessel continues the deeper orange tones.

Pair Clementine Aura with porcelain white, mushroom or sandstone. Honey, saffron and marigold continue the warm colour range. Cobalt, malachite and graphite provide stronger contrast.

Phalaenopsis orchids add broader open flowers between the finer branches. Cymbidium orchids introduce cupped blooms through the middle. Sunflowers add a larger round flower head, while roses provide fuller layered blooms lower in the arrangement.
